1st Thoughts On Clipper Sunday.

Hi, I'm Akstormtrack17's Junior Meteorologist Andrew Fleck. Here are my thoughts on the clipper Sunday and the map. The highlighted blue might seem a bit overwhelming in much of the area. That is why this map is illustrated to give you my first thoughts on where snow could be falling and even possibly accumulating Sunday. By tomorrow at this time I will have a more specific map of where the snow could be falling, this means I may have to add areas and expel some areas from the snow on the map. Later tomorrow night I will have an accumulation map. Given we are about a day and a half away things are destine to change and they will. As for the the coastal, the Euro model 12z recently ran out. It had a nasty storm just East of the coast, it was making little to no impact. I believe its wrong however. This is a trend though the models will start to take. From about 120 hours in to about 84 hours is when models most agree. As we get into the mid-short range things will split. So in my opinion pick a model and go with it. As you can tell we are picking the GFS model to go with at this time. Have a good Friday.
