Christmas Weather Pattern Discussion...Merry Christmas and a Storm?
Hello this is Junior Meteorologist Kyle Elliott with our Christmas weather pattern discussion...and I would like to wish everybody a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS first of all!! Anyway, this will not be a long discussion today as it's Christmas Day and I would like to open presents and get ready to meet my family for Christmas Dinner...but in the time I have I would like to touch on my latest thoughts on the storm for tomorrow night and what the latest model runs show. The latest runs of the NAM and GFS models have the storm closer to the coast resulting in more precipitation for us here in Eastern Pennsylvania. Now what type of precipitation falls, if any, remains to be seen, but if the models are correct we would end up with possibly up to an inch of fresh powder by Thursday morning. On the same token, my thoughts on the storm remain the same...I think it will just race out to sea and we get nothing whatsoever...only because the flow across our area today is out of the southwest and I just do NOT see favorable conditions for a storm to form. So those are my thoughts and what the models say, but at this point, things are still quite up-in-the-air at this point so I will be fine-tuning my forecast tomorrow as things become clearer. So that's about all I have for ya'll today, so hope ya'll have a great Christmas Day and I'll talk to ya'll tomorrow! If you have any questions on this forecast or would like to know my forecast for the weather in your area of the country for any day in the next two weeks or less, please, feel free to e-mail me at akstormtracker17@yahoo.com or kyleae@earthlink.net! This is Junior Meteorologist (Storm Tracker) Kyle Elliott reporting for the AKStormtracker Forecasting Center!
