Daily Weather Pattern Discussion...Boring For A Long Time!

Hello this is Junior Meteorologist Kyle Elliott with our daily weather pattern discussion…and we are now going into a pattern that is going to be very boring…with long stretches of mild air and not many chances for snow. The next chance for precipitation will be this Thursday and/or Friday, as a minor storm system will come out of the Midwest and head towards the East Coast. By that time, though, a zonal flow will have taken over across the country, causing any precipitation that comes into our area to fall mainly as rain or sleet/freezing rain. Either way you slice it, Friday does not look to be anything much to speak of as this storm system is minor in the overall scheme of things. After that, there are more storm systems on the models, but most are taken up through the Great Lakes, keeping the Eastern Seaboard relatively mild and protected from any chances for snow. So in reality, there is not much to talk about tonight except that milder air is in store for most of the East over the next week or two compared to what we have been seeing recently. So that’s about all for the HYPE for awhile now, but at any rate, enjoy the lull in the action and hope ya’ll have a great rest of your evening and I’ll talk to ya’ll tomorrow! This is Junior Meteorologist (Storm Tracker) Kyle Elliott reporting for the AKStormtracker Forecasting Center!
