Daily Weather Pattern Discussion...GFS, EURO, and JMA HYPE!

Hello this is Junior Meteorologist Kyle Elliott with our daily weather pattern discussion...and boy oh boy do I ever have some HYPE to talk about today! Yeehaww! My excitement level is bursting through the roof at latest run of the GFS and EURO models! Whereas the GFS had nothing at all for our area earlier, now it shows us getting HAMMERED with a super-blizzard...well, not really a super-blizzard, but a good 15-25 inches of snow! Let me tell you, if this latest scenario is correct, get ready...cause we could have blizzard warnings and heavy snow warnings galore by Saturday and Saturday night. Plus, the EURO shows the same solution in that a major winter storm explodes off the East Coast sometime next Saturday and Sunday before ending Monday the 17th. And the Grandaddy of all the models still is the JMA, which shows a storm who's strength would rival the great Superstorm of 1993. Oh, and don't think this is an isolated storm...the whole I-95 corridor from D.C. to Boston would have a major blizzard on there hands if any one of these modles proves to be correct. Let me tell you, if you are a weather fanatic and you see all this HYPE, you go crazy!...and that is exactly what I'm feeling right now! But, coming down a notch, the DGEX model still shows a mild solution to the storm with only a weak wave and at the most six inches of snow for our area here in Eastern Pennsylvania. Areas across Maryland would get more with that solution, but in all honesty, that solution makes no sense to me at this point. The only two solutions I could see happening are the current one shown by the models or the earlier one that showed the storm exiting off North Carolina near Hatteras with us seeing nothing but clear skies and cold temperatures. So don't get too excited, because there are still 24 model runs to go before the event gets here, but I'm just letting ya'll know that the possibility is out there for a snowstorm of epic proportions! As far as the short term is concerned, just learn to deal with the showery drear for the next few days as we are under the grips of a stalled-out frontal boundary which will not move away until Friday. But let me tell you, this week is nothing compared to what could be next week...oh, and by the way, the fun DOES NOT STOP THERE! The GFS continues to show an active and potentially snowy weather pattern through Christmas, so it will at the least be a very interesting and exciting weather pattern all the way through the Christmas holiday! So I will stop there before I totally go insane (lol), so that's about all I have (well, all I will give) for ya'll tonight, so hope ya'll have a great rest of your evening and my partner will talk to ya'll tomorrow! This is Junior Meteorologist (Storm Tracker) Kyle Elliott reporting for the Stormtracker Forecasting Center! As I said, my fellow meteorologist will be doing a post tomorrow, so look forward to that!
