Daily Weather Pattern Discussion...Warming For Christmas!

Hello this is Junior Meteorologist Kyle Elliott with our daily weather pattern discussion…and basically forget any chances of a White Christmas this year as temperatures should warm into the 40s, 50s, and possibly even near 60 just a few days before Christmas Day. A storm system will track across the country late this week and this weekend, probably tracking into the Great Lakes causing a warm surge of air to come up the Eastern Seaboard as temperatures soar into the 50s by December 23rd. A trailing cold front will cause temperatures to fall back to around 40 degrees by Christmas Day, but skies will quickly clear behind the front and any chance of snow will be swept away for at least 5 days or so. So basically, we are heading into a “zonal flow pattern” where mild air from the Pacific Ocean crosses the country and brings warming even the whole way to the East Coast. So don’t look for any snow or even any wintry precipitation for at least the next week or two due to the warmer flow coming across the country; instead, look for rain out of any storm system and generally warmer temperatures. So in reality, that’s about all I have for ya’ll today…so hope ya’ll have a great rest of your evening and I’ll talk to ya’ll tomorrow! If you have any questions on this forecast or would like to know my forecast for the weather in your area of the country for any day in the next two weeks or less, please, feel free to e-mail me at akstormtracker17@yahoo.com or kyleae@earthlink.net!
