14th Storm Coming Back...New Snow Map!

Hello this is Junior Meteorologist Kyle Elliott with an afternoon update on the 14th storm possibility along with an updated snowfall map for the possible storm. The latest 18z run of the NAM has brought the storm much closer to the coast again than the 12z run earlier this afternoon. Whereas that run just had the NJ coast getting grazed by snow, this latest run shows the heaviest snow from D.C. to Boston. So what do I make of this? I believe that the last 20 hours of model runs have just been Cha Cha Cha and that the models will continue to bring this storm slowly closer to the coast now with every run. So the result will be the I-95 corridor will have a mix of snow and rain with 1-4 inches of snow...with the heaviest snow falling between 30 and 70 miles north and west of the major cities from D.C. to NYC. So to give ya'll a visual aid of my latest thoughts, here's an updated snowfall map!

your being very generous in your snowfall amounts considering the gfs puts out rain for bwi, which is very close to where I live.Good posts though kyle
