Daily Weather Pattern Discussion...Overflowing With Potential!

Hello this is Junior Meteorologist Kyle Elliott with our daily weather pattern discussion...and the weather pattern we have just been engulfed in is going to be overflowing with potential for big snowstorms over the next two weeks or so as many storm systems will move toward and up the East Coast in the upcoming weeks. The first storm will affect our area on Thursday, but details are very uncertain right now and even though I have a great feeling about the storm, I am going to try a different approach with this storm and not HYPE it because it seems I jinx storm when I HYPE them. So maybe if I lay off the HYPE until tomorrow evening or Wednesday afternoon we can actually see some snow out of this pattern...but then again, don't count on it as almost all storms this year have been a very discouraging and disappointing bust. Anyhow, before I delay any longer and start prematurely HYPING the 17th storm, I might as well tell ya'll that even if the 17th storm is mainly rain, a very cold shot of arctic air will follow the system going into next weekend with daytime highs probably only reaching the teens and 20s statewide by this coming Saturday. This arctic shot of air may actually be the beginnings of a significant pattern shift at least for awhile here across the eastern states as multiple shots of arctic air follow the first one. Also, many storm systems will be coming around the bend as they come down off the Rockies and then ride into the Gulf of Mexico and up the Eastern Seaboard. My best early guess at when we should watch for possible snowstorm develop would be January 20th, 22nd, 24th, and 28th...but as ya'll well know, that is bound to change. So without going into any further detail and HYPE, I think I will stop there for the night and talk to ya'll again tomorrow! Hope ya'll have a great night!
