Hello this is Junior Meteorologist Kyle Elliott with an update on the severe weather across the Mid-Mississippi and southwestern Ohio Valley tonight...and over the last few hours, thunderstorms (some tornadic) have exploded across Arkansas, Missouri, and Tennessee and will continue to track to the east and north as we work through about 1 A.M. tonight. If a tornado warning is issued for your area, remember to seek shelter immediately and get to the lowest level and/or most interior room of your home as you will be the most safe at that location. I have to admit, this is an amazing situation that is occurring this evening as temperatures soared into the 70s and 80s today across parts of the South and Southeast which led to the explosive development of thunderstorms as a strong jet stream combined with a potent cold front moving across the central and southeastern states this evening to spark massive supercell thunderstorms just a few hours ago. I hate to say this, but things will just continue to get worse until about 10:30 or 11 P.M. EST this evening when things might just start to calm down slightly. Until then, though, there is the potential for reports of up to 20-30 reports of tornadoes across parts of the mid-Mississippi River Valley this evening...so keep a close eye on any thunderstorms that approach your area and remember, SEEK SHELTER IF A TORNADO WARNING IS ISSUED FOR YOUR AREA!!! That's about all I have for ya'll for now, so I will leave you with a severe weather outlook map I made that is for now until 1 A.M. tonight...so if you live anywhere in the severe risk areas, please, keep a watchful eye to the sky and seek shelter if a warning is issued for your area. So here's the map!
