Daily Weather Pattern Discussion...Flowers, Warmth, And Spring Is Come!

Hello this is Junior Meteorologist Kyle Elliott with our daily weather pattern discussion...and finally...FINALLY...the models are hinting at an extended period of springlike weather across the eastern part of the country for the next week or two with temperatures soaring into the 70s by Thursday and again late weekend/early next week. What looked like a serious blizzard concern yesterday for this coming Saturday now appears to be nothing more than a WARM FRONT...can you believe that, a WARM FRONT! Instead of the storm coming up the coast and a walloping blizzard along the East Coast, now the models show a storm pulling up into Canada with warm air on the south side of it and the storm that was supposed to come up the coast just moving off the Georgia coast and out to sea. In fact, I hate to do this, but I'm changing my mind once again on the storm this weekend and saying just a warm/wind swept rainstorm for the East Coast. And, after tomorrow and Tuesday, I think much, much warmer air is on the way as temperatures should surge into the middle/upper 60s by Thursday and continue to be in the lower 60s through the weekend. As the second "warm front" goes through the area on Sunday, a major...and I mean a MAJOR...warmup could be on the way for the eastern part of the country by mid-month as some of the models hint at middle 70s to lower 80s here in southern Pennsylvania for the mid-month time period. I'm not 100% sure if this warmer solution to things is right, but it sure seems believable to me as the models show the southeastern ridge bulging northward the entire way through the end of the GFS model forecasting period...and with the way this ridge has been bulging northward all winter long, I wouldn't be surprised if it's ready to pounce for good now and put an end to this winter nonsense for yet another year. So as ya'll well remember, I'm in "Spring Mode" now, and with the models the way they look today, I think it's time I stop talking about snow completely now. So instead of thinking snow, I'm now looking at some very warm weather for the rest of this month and, even though I may regret doing this, I am officially declaring an end to our winter forecasts here at AKStormtracker17 for this winter season. Now of course, if snow becomes imminent, we will jump on it, but overall our winter storm forecasting is over! So now go cheer up and have some fun, because the winter season is as good as done!! Oh yeah baby! Spring time weather, here it comes! Well that's about all I have for today, so hope ya'll have a great rest of your afternoon and I'll talk to ya'll tomorrow! This is Junior Meteorologist (Storm Tracker) Kyle Elliott reporting for the AKStormtracker Forecasting Center!
