Weather Pattern Discussion...Warmth, Strong Storms Tomorrow!
Hello this is Junior Meteorologist Kyle Elliott with our weather pattern discussion...and spring and severe thunderstorms have definitely sprung here in south-central Pennsylvania as flowers are coming out quickly and thunderstorms are on the way for tomorrow. In my opinion, straight-line wind damage will be the main threat with severe thunderstorms tomorrow as high temperatures reach the 60s statewide and lower 70s in the southern half of the state...but an isolated tornado just cannot be ruled out as a strong jet will be flooding across the region during tomorrow afternoon and evening. After this storm moves off the Eastern Seaboard Wednesday, pleasant weather will be across the area Wednesday and Thursday as highs reach the 50s statewide for both days. On Friday and Saturday, another storm system will approach the region from the Midwest as high temperatures once again try to reach the 60s for the southern half of the state. Either way you slice it, after that storm moves through, it appears as if a very mild pattern will set up for the state with highs daily in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Not as warm as it could be this time of year, but not bad at any rate. As I do not have that much time today, that's about all I have for now but remember, if severe weather approaches the region tomorrow and a warning is issued, seek shelter in the lowest level of your home and STAY SAFE! Well that's about all I have for today, so hope ya'll have a great rest of your afternoon and evening and I'll talk to ya'll tomorrow! This is Junior Meteorologist (Storm Tracker) Kyle Elliott reporting for the AKStormtracker Forecasting Center!
