3 P.M. Winter Storm Update!

Hello this is Junior Meteorologist Kyle Elliott with a 3 P.M. winter storm udpate...and the latest forecasts have our area in the "snow threat" region of the Mid-Atlantic and New England areas. Most forecasts for the area lean toward a light to moderate accumulation of snowfall, but there are still some who think this storm will move farther inland giving us all rain. On the same token, some still have this storm moving out into the ocean and never even touching us with precipitation. Personally I think the storm will move slightly farther south than what the GFS says, bringing our area right into the heart of the "snow threat" area. I still like my forecast of 3-6 inches, so I will stick with that for now. I do not want to post too much right now as both the 18z run of both the NAM and GFS models are still to come, so I will stop here for now and update again at around 6 or 7 P.M. This has been Junior Meteorologist (Storm Tracker) Kyle Elliott with a special report for the AKStormtracker Forecasting Center, in High Anticipation Mode!
